Over the weekend, CBET had the wonderful opportunity to attend and sponsor the NCDOA OCS conference in Kissimmee, Florida. Tamia Peguero CBET’s Marketing Representative and Intern/Student Researcher Kaitlyn Strumski represented CBET. The four-day event was jampacked with networking, informational sessions, and career advancement in industry on a global scale. On Friday, we were delighted to personally network with pharmacy students from all over the nation, connect with ACPHS alumni including Stephen Ziter, MBA, Director of Operations at NCODA. After gathering all data, 56.3% of attendees are most interested in our Industry Training Courses and 37.5 % are interested in our Masters of Biomanufacturing and Bioprocessing. In addition, we visited with some of our partners and local companies such as Beigene and Northwestern Mutual, promoted our Global Biomanufacturing Fellowship in partnership with the FDA and Curia Global, and discussed opportunities in our state-of-the art Life Sciences Innovation Building.
On Saturday, ACPHS President Dr. Toyin Tofade was one of the four panelists for the Women and Leadership Session at the conference. Dr. Tofade highlighted the importance of establishing a plan toward a specific career goal, the difficulties of work-life balance as a woman and learning to appreciate the small impactful moments of your career whether that be hitting a goal or getting recognition from your peers. At the end of the session the winner of the CBET Swag Bag Giveaway was announced. A huge shoutout to our ACPHS Admission Department for donating the materials for the giveaway. We had a great experience. Until next time NCODA!
